This week: featuring the 2019 album Whatchamacallit by Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and a fruity-themed 60s snapshot.

it’s becoming a tradition to get all random on a bank holiday Monday morning and this coming Monday there’s no exception to this. from 10 pm, we’ll have three hours of randomly selected years – first hour it’ll be between 1965 and 1969; in the second hour it’ll be a year from the 80s and in the last hour one from the 70s. Help choose the music and/or come and say hello and have some banter as bevy will share the tunes, the news and more from the years selected for this randomiser special.

it’s aprty time all the way on Saturday evening
from 7 pm, it’s Saturday night with bevy – 3 hours of great music and features from the mid to late 60s, whole of the 70s and early to mid 80s.
from 8 pm, its party night as it’s a bank holiday weekend and they’re meant for partying.
Most of the features take a rest this week apart from the battle of the decades. 1967 and 1977 face up against each other in a tussle to see who wins the crown of the the most popular tune of the week. 2 from the top 10 of this week in 1967 and from the chart in 1977 will compete for the listeners vote.
After 8 it’s a party and am looking for your party tunes – tweet or email.

This week Dominic talks to none other than Iggy Pop! How good is that? Saturday 24th August, 2 pm Wednesday 28th August, 1 pm.

In this week’s show there’ll be a chance to hear 4 tracks by Uriah Heep-taken from their 2009 album Celebration (40 years of rock) which is mainly a selection of some of the band’s early material that has been re-recorded plus 2 new tracks specifically written for this album. In the second hour, there’s the usual 3 tracks in our 60s snapshot.

This week’s show includes (as well as a huge dose of mayhem, madness and bevy):
the battle of the decades goes to 1972 and 1982 – the vote will be between two songs from each year and from the top tens of this day back then – but who will win?
double dose higher and lower in the 70s continues with the highest and lowest new entries from the uk charts on 15th and 22nd October 1972.
the featured album comes from the brothers Johnson and their debut release from 1976 look out for number one.
we’ll go stateside at 8.15 and 9.15 with two tracks that made it in the us but didn’t quite do the same here in the uk – from our featured years 1972 and 1982.
Ah yes, requests are more than welcome – not for bevy to calm down but for your mid to late 60s, all 70s and early to mid 80s choices – tweet @BevyOnAir or email ian@ultimateradio.co.uk
Peace.

This weeks rock talk is dedicated to the work of Mr Jeff Lynn. Listen in, Saturday 2 pm or Wednesday 1 pm.

This week:
the battle of decades continues with 1969 and 1979 being years in focus – two from each top of this day back then and I’ll be asking which one should win? also will include tracks from lower down the charts from each year.
The featured album is from 1983 – it’s cheap trick and next position please – will play three tracks from this album plus give info on its production and release.
We go stateside at 8.15 and 9.15 with a track from the us billboard chart that didn’t make it in the uk in 1969 and 1979.
Higher and lower in the 70s has reached October 1972 and there will be a double dose of this after 8 and 9.
Requests are more than welcome – get your 70s – mid to late 60s and early to mid 80s requests in to @BevyOnAir or email ian@ultimateradio.co.uk

Saturdays are a changin’ and fromt his week it’s time for Saturday night with Bevy. In the true traditions of straight up the 70s, the core of the show is 70s but it’s bigger as music from the early to mid 80s and mid to late 60s is included. Features will include:
4 of a kind/battle of the decades – two songs from the top 10 of this week back in 1970 and the same from 1980 will battle it out to gain the listeners vote.
The featured album of the show will be Cream’s 1968 release ‘wheels of fire’.
Stateside will take tracks from the us billboard chart from this day in 1970 and 1980 – tracks that didn’t quite make it in the UK.
Keeping up the good tradition, higher and lower in the 70s continues with new chart entries from mid to late September 1972.
Of course, listener requests are more than welcome – tweet @BevyOnAir email ian@ultimateradio.co.uk
